THRU Project’s Mentorship Program is the heart of our organization. Since 2011, we have provided a caring mentor for over 1,000 youth with histories of foster care.

Complete a THRU Project Mentor Application

After completing your application and mentor training, schedule a mentor interview with [email protected]

Must be at least 24 years of age & pass a background check.

Commit to one year of mentorship with your mentee.

We require our mentors to visit with their mentee at least once a month in person, and at least 2-3 times monthly via phone/text/etc. 

Mentors are also required to complete a brief survey every quarter which lets us know how often you had contact and the status of your youth’s education, housing, and employment.
